Country Painting – Our Process
As the preferred painting company in the area, we here at Country Painting feel it is important to review our procedure with prospective clients. That way, you have a good idea of how the process will work.
Interior Process
Step 1: Preparation
We believe that thorough preparation is key to a quality paint job.
Larger furnishings are relocated to the center of the room and covered. Drop cloths are put in designated areas including walkways, flooring etc. Baseboards and trim work are taped for protection prior to painting.
Walls are inspected for blemishes that require repair before painting such as holes, nail pops, etc. Repairs are made and the wall is sanded.
Caulking is also applied as needed, such as gaps between wall and baseboard.
Step 2: Painting
First coat of high-quality SWP paint is applied and allowed to dry before a second coat is added.
Step 3: Daily Maintenance (Applicable for projects longer than a single day)
We will work with the homeowner to establish a pre-determined location for temporary material storage. This helps reduce the length of time for the job, saving you time and money.
Step 4: Final Walk Through
This gives our boss the opportunity to walk through the premises and ensure that all of the contracted areas have been painted to your specifications and our company standards.
Exterior Process
Step 1: Power Washing
Any professional house painter will start your project with a power wash. This rids the exterior of mildew, dirt, dust, loose paint, etc. It is absolutely necessary for the success of your new paint job to have a clean surface to adhere to.
Step 2: Painting
Application of high-quality SWP paint is applied and allowed to dry prior to inspection.
Step 3: Daily Maintenance
We will partner with the homeowner and decide on an area to act as a temporary storage space for our materials for jobs lasting more than a day. Leaving necessary materials for the job on-site establish a pre-determined location for temporary material storage. This helps reduce the length of time for the job, saving you time and money.
Step 4: Final Walk Through
A lead contractor will conduct a walk through as a measure of quality control. This ensures that all of the contracted areas have been taken care of in order to provide you with guaranteed customer satisfaction.
